Naya's Favourite Movies

Movies were not a huge part of my upbringing. That being said, my ubringing can be summed up in two words: Star Trek. When I was very young, I thought that instead of being called "Star Trek" it was written and pronounced "Star Track". This made way for more than a few awkward pauses in conversation. From Star Trek I branched out to other parts of the science fiction genre. They weren't all movies either. I remember being enraptured in the TV show Stargate when I was ten, and immersing myself in my mothers more than adequate collection of science fiction novels. To this day, Robert Silverberg cannot cease to amaze me with his imagination and prose.

My fascination with Science fiction still carries on, even if the enthusiasm is slightly dimmed from over saturation and time. My father introduced me to the Marvel Cinematic Universe a few years ago, and I couldn't get enough of it, - although I suppose you could consider the Marvel movies as sci-fi - especially characters who wield magic. My love of science fiction and superheroes permeates in my taste in books, TV shows, and of course, films.
